I went down to a local upolstery supplier Purchased the best carpet they sell , and some black binding for the edges. Then I went to Lowes/Homedepot and purchased some carpet runner the claer stuff with the teeth on theback side.

Making the Patterens: I took some construction paper and laid it in the floorboards and with a black marker traced the shape I wanted . Then I transferd this to the Clear runners . then I contact cemented the runner pattern to the capet. then I cut them out. After All the pieces were cut. I took a razor blade and removed all the nibs within 2" of the edges. and then I was able to sew on my edge material. (on the drivers floor mat I also installed a grommet to hold it in place.) these floor mats will out live the factory carpet twice over.
